Islamic security forces killed a two Kurds and detained a Kurdish activist

kemalsherifi_sheikh-gharib.jpgSaghez : The Iranian security forces killed Sheikh Gharib Hamahasani, 55, a former activist of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan or PDKI and Book shop keeper Darvish Ali Motei in the Kurdistani city of Saghez.

On 25 June 2008, the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran attacked the residential home of Darwish Ali Motie a local Kurdish book shop keeper where two former KDPI members were visiting. As a result of the attack Shaikh Gharib Hamahasani and Arli Motie was killed by security forces and the Darvish Ali was injured. The security forces detained Kurdish political activist and writer Kamal Sharifi.

Mr. Darvish Ali Motie past away on Friday 27 June 2008 after two days of struggling against death.

The source stated that Kamal Sharifi's life is at risk due to his political background and his previous association of the KDPI.

The PDKI is the largest Kurdish opposition group in East Kurdistan pursue a federation for Iran.
