فکر میکنم سختترین کار برای یک فعال حقوق بشر رودرویی با مادر شخص بازداشت شده و صحبت کردن با اوست. اینکه بخواهی بدون در نظر گرفتن واقعیت تلخ موجود، در چنین شرایطی فقط حرفهای امیدوار کننده بزنی تا از نگرانی یک مادر نسبت به وضعیت و آینده فرزندش بکاهی اصلاً کار آسانی نیست. هر چه تلاش کنی باز هم نتیجهی مطلوب حاصل نمیشود. چون او یک مادر است و تو یک فعال حقوق بشر یا یک دوست، که هر چقدر هم نزدیک باشی از درک احساس مادرانه او عاجزی.

 Medya News - IRNA the official news agency of the regime of Islamic Republic of Iran has put out a news on its Persian site that refers to the standpoint of Mostafa Hejri, the Secretary-general of Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan in regards to the "Green Movement of Iran" that Hejri has "proclaimed the green movement of Iran as the official opposition to the Islamic Republic."

The Iranian authorities must not execute a Kurdish man on death row whose transfer to solitary confinement last week raises fears that his execution could be imminent, said Amnesty International.
Habibollah Latifi was sentenced to death in July 2008 after he was convicted of moharebeh (enmity against God) in connection with his membership of and activities on behalf of the Kurdish Independent Life Party (PJAK), a banned armed group.

با کمال تآسف وتأثر اطلاع يافتيم كه هنرمند عزیزمان "روژان " در اندوه از دست دادن پدرشان آقای فیض بخش نشسته اند.
رادیو صدای کردستان به "روژان "عزيز برای از دست دادن این مرد شریف و شاعر تسلیت می گوید. براي ايشان و خانواده محترمشان صبر و تحمل اين مصيبت را آرزو مي كند.

: KURDISH MAN AT RISK OF EXECUTION IN
IRAN
 Habibollah Latifi, a male member of
the Kurdish minority in Iran, has been transferred to solitary confinement
in Sanandaj prison, Kordestan province, northwestern Iran. The transfer
to solitary confinement is often an indication that an execution is going
to take place within days. Another Iranian Kurdish man, Sherko Moarefi,
remains on death row at Saqqez Prison in Kordestan province.
Habibollah Latifi, a law student at
Azad University in the south western Province of Ilam, western Iran, was
transferred to solitary confinement on 16 January. His lawyer is not known
to have been notified of a scheduled execution as is required by law, although
in some cases executions have taken place without this notification being
issued. His family has not been notified that he will be executed but fear
that he is at imminent risk of execution.

Ladies and gentlemen, it's not common to have a gathering like this one and talk to the academia and American audience about the plight of the Kurdish people, their history and how the ruling Middle Eastern governments perceive them. I am glad I am here tonight on the 60th anniversary of the Kurdish republic of 1946 and I hope to answer some historical questions in your minds. So, I briefly talk about the creation of the Republic, the political mood and the environment of WWII in the northern part of Eastern Kurdistan, i.e. the part under the Iran's control.
